I love sports. Pretty much every kind of sport. Growing up in South Florida I played and watched countless hours of every sport imaginable. Through that I developed a unique understanding of the individual games.

This understanding allows me to get unique and interesting sports images. Images that tell a story. Images that capture the decisive moment and freeze it in time.

I have a documentary style of photography that works perfectly for concerts. My images tell a story. I capture the energy and excitement of concerts and freeze it in time. This translates the emotion of the show in a single frame.

My images are great for many applications, including social media, PR, email campaigns and websites. I highlight the realness that is all around us. I don’t airbrush, pose or choreograph the world. I believe the job of photography is to capture the world as it is. To document what is happening for the world to see.

Stiletto Red was the first band on stage Monday night. I had never seen them perform but I was not dissapointed. They have a great sound and put on a great performance.

Monster Truck was the second band of the night. I had never heard them play before but they put on a great show. They had non stop energy from start to finish.

The shirtless Jeremy Winderman was an extra special treat. Dude did work on stage and on the guitar.

Check them out when you get a chance.

This guy caught my eye on walk last weekend. I’ve seen birds and even cats ride on peoples shoulders before. This is the first time I’ve seen a dog hitching a ride.

I’ve always enjoyed Sevendust’s live performances and this one was no different. In a packed Culture Room, Sevendust played a great mix of classic songs like “Denial”, “Face to Face” and “Angel’s Son”. Along with new songs like “Decay” and “Got A Feeling”.

As always, the energy of the show was incredibly high. Covered in sweat, Lajon Witherspoon, belted out song after song. With his usual mix of hard sung lyrics and huge smiles, Lajon draws the concert goer in and doesn’t let go.

The most touching moment of the night came when the band played “Got A Feeling” in honor of guitarist John Connolly, who lost his father earlier that day, but decided to play the show anyway.

These are my top 10 photos from the night, but there was no shortage of fun, energetic moments.

Keep your eyes out for more photos from the two opening acts, Monster Truck and Stiletto Red.

I was fortunate enough to photograph the Sevendust show tonight at Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale. I’m a long time fan of theirs and they did not disappoint with another face melting show.
Be on the look out for some more shots from tonight over the next couple days.

I ventured back to the ol’ stomping grounds of Western High School to photograph the Spring football game against West Broward.

I had a blast photographing the game and Western pulled out the win, 31-14.

I ventured down to the ol’ stomping grounds of Western High School on Thursday to photograph the Spring Football game. This was my first time photographing football and it was a blast.
This is my favorite photo because it is peak action. The linebacker de-cleating the quarterback. The sand flying up from the field. All frozen in time.
And to make it better, Western won 31-14.

I posted up on top of the 17th street bridge in Ft. Lauderdale yesterday for some sunset action. As anyone that has spent time in South Florida can tell you, there is no topography at all here. So to get any kind of elevation, you have to get on top of a building or bridge.
Luckily the clouds cooperated and blocked just enough of the setting sun to set off some cool colors.
